Carol Allen Reading Corner

We all know Carol loved to read and to share the joy of reading with her students.  We are raising money for the Carol Allen Reading Corner in the library at Hawaiian Elementary School in LA.   The books will be chosen by the school staff and paid for through the donations that you pledge here. 
 
We will keep this page going for the next 6 months and, after that, please continue to order and donate hardcover books directly to the school.  Please put it in your calendar to do every year in September for the new school year! 
If you want to buy particular books now and not donate to this fund, please feel free to do so.  ALL books MUST be hardback books.  If you take this option, mail them directly to the school, labeled for the Carol Allen Reading Corner.  Their address is: Hawaiian Ave. Elementary,  540 Hawaiian Ave.  Wilmington, CA 90744.  

(FYI, Scholastic Books has graciously donated 500 books but they are for students to take home at the end of the school year, in honor of Carol, not for the Reading Corner.  We did not count these as in-kind donations, but they are as valuable as the entire campaign!  Thank you, Scholastic Books!!!)
