Carnival Food and More Fire Damage

FINAL UPDATE!! 2/21/22 The suite it now cleaned and repaired back to its original order prior to the fire!! Due to breaking his lease when Jaime cancelled his insurance his lease was unable to renewed when his lease was up for renewal on February 1st 2022.
Jaime has received church donations and t-shirt sales which total over 3,000+ plus a stay at an extend motel for a week. I do not have record of where those funds went to since Jaime received those directly. I can only account for donations we have received. You may contact Jaime directly thru the Carnival Food FB page if you would like to know where those donations went to.
The below breakdown shows where all go fund me and spirit night donations went to. We also included Jaimes security deposit even though breaking his lease he would forfeit his deposit. He was sent the leftover money on 2.21.22 via venmo.
Due to this being a shared space and a sublease from Our Place Cafe, Our Place took over the donations to ensure the space would be repaired satisfactory with the landlords for their final approval.
HUGE shout out to ABC Cleaning (615-969-2246) for getting all the smoke damage off the walls, getting the smoke smell out of the suite, cleaning the air ducts, cleaning the ceiling grid, cleaning the floors, and more!
Thank you to Patriot Painting (831-524-2121) for donating your time in priming and painting the entire suite!
Thank you to all the volunteers for coming out and cleaning out all the trash, taking ceiling tiles down, and taking salvageable things to storage for Jaime.

This is a breakdown of the replacement items for Our Place Cafe. Since this is a shared space these are the items ruined from the fire from Carnival Food. Our Place insurance would not replace these items since Our Place staff was not the cause of the fire. Carnival Food cancelled their insurance. Otherwise the insurance would have covered all these items.

There was an accidental grease fire at Carnival Food and More Monday January 10th. The hood malfunctioned and did not put the fire out like it is suppose to. There is a lot of damage from the heat from the fire. There is a lot of clean up to be done and also professionally cleaning to pay for as well. We are asking the wonderful community for any donation to help with the cost of cleaning and cover expenses while closed down. Unfortunately due to business being slow Jaime made the decision to cut costs and cancelled his insurance policy he had in place so there is no insurance to cover any costs.
