Carmellas surgery

Hi everyone!! 

I normally wouldn’t do something like this but we need your help, Our poor baby Carmella needs your help. We saved our girl back in April, we got her after her previous owner accidentally dropped her and she needed surgery on her back hip and her owner couldn’t afford it so we took her in and got her all taken care of. She is an Italian grey hound and they are very prone to broken bones due to their fragile bone structure. Unfortunately tonight (on Christmas Eve) our baby girl fell off the back of our couch and broke her paw. We called every vet we could find in our area and finally we could get her into an emergency vet and hour away from us. She needs surgery and unfortunately we just don’t have the money for it.

She broke her leg right above her wrist, the doctor said she is in shock and it is a “UR break” meaning she completely broke her ulna and radius so her paw is just dangling. Because it’s an emergency visit it’s even more money than we anticipated. Just the initial assessment is more than we can afford. Without surgery she has high risk for amputation.  We just bought our first home and money is tight as you can imagine.

She is the light of our lives and the best baby around.
