Carly's wellness journey

My objective is to do things that challange me, things I take for granted to be able to do and raise money to help my friend Carly battling the evil C word. Initally I wanted to raise enough money to get her to a wellness retreat or for the Caspers to go on a well deserved and well overdue holiday to help her fight her battle. But since starting this campaigns things have taken a downward turn and Carly is in too much pain to even think about a holiday right now, she is currently in a hospital in Queensland fighting for her life so any money donated will go towards treatment costs and everything that her family need to get through in this time.
Carly's stoy:
Carly has been through a rough 18 months. 4 days before her Sons 1st birthday she was diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer.
Since then Carly and her family have been through so much, 2 rounds of chemo, radiation, a double mastectomy and everything else a family with a baby go through. Despite all of this Carly has had fighting spirit. Her tag line is #onlygoodnews, she has been battling through this monsterous illness with grace, determination and selflessness.
the deverstating news after her second round of chemo came to a shock to everyone, her cancer has spread and is now in her lungs and liver and she is in a lot of pain.
She has continuiously educated herself on every aspect of the illness and made serious lifestyle changes to aid her recovery. She is a wonder woman to me, not only doing this but doing it in her stride while raising her son, my godson Jude.
I met Carly in 2004 at Camp Tioga, where 2 years later She would meet her future husband.
The caspers are so special and important to me, they have been there for me in so many ways, and her family are my adopted Aussie family, the Brights are a rare breed and I love them to bits.
I know everyone has their battles, and Carly would never ask for help, so I am doing it for her. I will push myself to my limits and futher if it means I can help Carly in any way possible.
