Emergency Moving & Survival Fund

As you may know, I’m usually on here advocating and raising for others in need, but this time I’m the one who needs help. Unfortunately yesterday I walked in to my ceiling having fallen in. This is after repeatedly talking with my landlord about much needed repairs throughout the home. I’m renting from a private homeowner so it’s slightly different from rental community. The area that fell in was unexpected as it wasn’t one of the initial places with damage. So we still have the existing water damage to tend to also. Due to my chronic Illnesses and my recent fight against COVID, I am on disability and not working. During this time I’ve unfortunately depleted my savings and the funds I received have been allocated to basic living needs. I simply don’t have additional resources for this emergency. With everything needing to be done (leaks, repair, mold, etc), This isn’t a place for the kids to be in. Especially now that school has started and structure and normalcy are needed for their success. That is paramount. At this point, I’m looking to quickly find temporary or permanent housing. I will have to work to get out of my lease (yes, even with damage because you know how these leases are written to benefit the landlord as opposed to the tenant). But in the meantime, I need a safe place to stay and financial assistance with living expenses, transportation costs, etc. I am truly at a loss and am only for asking for what is needed to make this move happen and nothing more.
