Graduation

Hello, my name is Carlos Pena and I am a soon to be graduate from Catholic University in Washington D.C. For the last 7 semesters it has been an adventure figuring out how to pay for tuition: jumping hoops for the financial aid office, signing my name away on government loans, and working 40/hr a week doing odd jobs here and there.
I almost didn't go to college due to the price tag but my cousin told me I should go even if it was for a week, a month or a whole semester. And here I am 7 semesters in, days away from graduation on May 17. Those that know me, know well that I have been looking for other ways to pay. My last attempt was applying for a private loan but to my surprise I found out my credit has taken a hit due to identity confusion (some other Carlos Pena supposedly owes money). I am currently disputing the identity confusion and getting the mistake off my credit report but unfortunately it won't be in time for May 17.
I figured that I would walk on May 17 and then go into my career and pay off what I owe to get my official transcript and diploma. But I need an official transcript and diploma to get the career I am applying for...but I need the career to pay off what I owe to get my offic...crap (chicken and the egg...).
You may wonder why I don't reach out to my parents. The reality is they wish they could help but special circumstances at home don't permit.
My close friends advised me I should ask for help. It's hard for me to ask for help, I was raised to work for what you want on your own. But my friends I made here at Catholic have taught me to humble myself. So I humbly ask for you help.
Thank you.
