Carl & Cathy's Journey

Carl and Cathy have spent most of their marriage serving as missionaries in Africa.  We met them shortly after they returned to Canada and enrolled their kids at the Alliston Community Christian School where our kids were attending.  They have 5 adorable children ages 13-5.  

In the summer of 2015, their family was preparing to return to Africa.  That November Cathy was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.  At that point the battle for her life began.  She has spent the last year undergoing invasive cancer treatment.  This has been a very trying year for them as a family.

A year and one day after Cathy's diagnoses, Carl was diagnosed with colon cancer.  As Cathy continues to undergo treatment, Carl is now beginning the battle for his own life.   Due to the nature of Carl's cancer, he will be unable to financially support his family for an indefinite amount of time.  

As their friends, our wish is to remove as much stress as possible to allow Carl and Cathy to focus on getting well and spending quality time with their children.  We are asking you to prayerfully consider joining us to help meet their financially needs for the next 6 - 8 months.

Although this past year has been wrought with tremendous pain and trials for the entire family, their faith in the goodness of God has not only grown, but has been displayed for everyone to see.  It is our deepest desire as part of the body of Christ to come along side them and help ease their burden.
