I'm doing this in support of my beautiful friend Jess, who is currently undergoing Chemotherapy for Breast Cancer... and for all the warriors out there, young and old, who are fighting.
Over the next three months, I'll be raising money for the Mid North Coast Cancer Institute. In a dream world, I'd love to be able to raise the $45000 it costs to purchase a "Cold Cap"- a cap worn during chemotherapy that helps patients to keep the hair on their head throughout treatment.
As this is a crazy expensive number, I've decided for all funds raised to go towards the purchase of equipment and goods for the patients of the Port Macquarie General Oncology Unit.
I'm relying heavily on the support from the amazing staff and students at Newman Senior Technical College and my friends and family.
The shave will take place on Friday 20th September 2019. This is of course very scary, but I have a choice here- where as many out there simply do not. They're the brave ones. This is for you. xx
