Carissa Ebnet is currently hospitalized in critical condition. While dropping her daughters off at daycare on September 10, 2018, she collapsed. Carissa was transported by LifeFlight to Duluth, and the following day to the Twin Cities. She was diagnosed with pancreatitis and is in kidney and liver failure. Carissa has been receiving continuous dialysis, along with one-on-one nursing care. She will have a long road ahead of her.
She is a mother of two young daughters, a loving wife, daughter, sister, co-worker and great friend. Carissa is a snowboarder and loves roller derby. She is very passionate about her girls and is very rarely seen without one or both of them.
A community wide effort is being made to help ease medical expenses incurred during this time. Her husband, Jon, has been unable to work as he has been by her side.
