Caring support for Lucas Markle

My name is Blake Markle.  I am raising money in support of my nephew Lucas Markle and his mom, my sister, Brittany Markle.  Lucas is currently in Brenner Children's Hospital dealing with a condition known as Multisystem inflammatory Syndrome (MIS-C).  This condition is being seen in children weeks after they have recovered from COVID-19.  Lucas has been a trooper and has had an amazing team of medical personnel at Brenner's who have worked feverishly to determine what was wrong and the best ways to treat his condition.  I could tell the entire story, however, there is no more proper way to tell the story than through the eyes of a mom who is watching her child deal with this illness.  The link below is a snapshot of the past 5 days.

There are still so many things left unknown in present time and for the future in what effects this will have for Luke and the necessary medical care that may ensue.  Brittany and Lucas have been overwhelmed already with support from family, friends, the community and complete strangers.  It has been uplifting to see the love and support that has flooded them and the family.  

One thing we do know is the future will be filled with medical bills, follow-up appointments with countless doctors to ensure his body his healing 100% and trips back and forth to all these specialists.  The last thing we want is during a time she is worried about Lucas' health to also worry about financials.  We are thankful for all who have supported so far and who will support in the future.  We love and appreciate everyone and cannot wait to have that wild 6 year old boy back home "digging for bugs"!
