Caring for Dr. Joseph Eplett

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family,

Dr. Joe has cared for so many and now it is time to help care for him.

Many know that I continue to work at Dr. Joe's old practice and have seen his generosity first-hand.

Now, I'd like to honor his legacy and ask for help thanking him for all he has done for our community by asking for your support to assist him following his recent diagnosis of dementia. This diagnosis has forced his retirement and left him devastated and short of funds. Without working, Dr. Joe can no longer afford his home and our goal is to help him purchase an affordable house.

Monetary contributions are greatly appreciated, as is sharing Dr. Joe's story and campaign through word of mouth, Facebook, and Twitter.

A little more background on his health condition: along with chiropractic, Dr. Joe has had a passion for boxing. In his teens, he was a Golden Gloves boxer:
Later, in his 20s, he became a professional boxer, training at Angelo Dundee's famous 5th Street gym in Miami Beach, FL.
These were all tremendous accomplishments; however, they may have also had extremely adverse effects on his health. Head trauma can have detrimental consequences for athletes, and has even been linked to the great Muhammed Ali's Parkinson's disease. A substantial amount of research has found the head trauma inflicted from boxing can also lead to chronic traumatic encephalopathy, also known as CTE or boxer's dementia. Recently, Dr. Joe had an MRI that revealed diffuse cerebral atrophy, a shrinking of the brain that is a symptom of CTE:

His diagnosis and retirement has been heartbreaking for him, as there is nothing Dr. Joe loves more than to give back through improving the health and lives of those within the community.

As an advocate for health, he has never turned anyone away due to inability to pay, always allowing people to trade, use a sliding scale, and performed extensive gratis care over his four decades as a chiropractor.

Let's honor his generous spirit by giving back to someone who has given so much. Again, your contributions in all forms, good thoughts, and wishes are heard and much appreciated!

Thanks so much!
