Carey Berky (BCC of Hawaii)

On the eve of the 4th of July, our dear sister in Christ Carey (Ibrao) Berky unfortunately suffered a severe and life threatening medical incident. This left her in a medically induced coma for several days, and remained in ICU (Intensive Care Unit) for over 3 weeks.
Thanks to the many prayers, Carey has recovered enough to be transferred to Ka Punawai Ola (a Rehabilitation Clinic), located in Kapolei.
Although we trust in the Lord's healing, and only He knows her final prognosis; her rehabilitation process will be considerable.
Although Carey is out of immediate danger, based on her first several days in ICU,  the family was told the average daily costs exceeded $18,000. Despite Carey having medical insurance through her employer, she and her family will be responsible for what will be a substantial co-payment to cover the cost of her medical expenses.
Unfortunately, based on her current condition she will not return to work and will require long term care.
As many as you know Carey lived alone, and will now have to rely on her immediate family and faith community for her continued love and financial support.
