Mariquit Bulaon, affectionately known as Kit by her family and friends, has been battling various forms of cancer for over 10 years. Her fight began when she was initially diagnosed with breast cancer in her right breast. Shortly after the initial findings the cancer spread to her left breast. After enduring much treatment and overcoming these difficulties, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of ovarian cancer. Her condition has worsened to the point that she now requires constant medical supervision and care.
Kit served the Brooklyn community as a nurse at Mount Sinai Beth Israel for nearly 30 years. She dedicated so much of herself to the care of her patients that she wouldn't let her fight with cancer impede doing her work. We would like to ask for your help in helping us give back to her for her service in healthcare and provide her with the comfort and care she needs.
She is a proud mother of three- Jem, Jacy (myself), and King, and wife to Manuel aka Jun Bulaon. She has provided us with great financial support and has always been a great motivation. Her motivation and persistence has driven all of her kids to finish college so we can give back to her what she has provided for us. Family has been very important to her. Her attitude has always been positive and this has kept us all strong over the past decade. She is the strongest person we know and are blessed to have her in our lives.
Due to the change in her condition, we want to spend as much time as possible with her so she can be surrounded with love and care. In addition to being there to tend to her needs and keeping her comfortable, seeing the family together is one of the things that makes her very happy. In order for us to dedicate more time to her we need to be able to take this time away from our jobs and we need your help. Any donation is greatly appreciated. These donations will help us sustain the costs of our bills as we sacrifice our income to allow us to spend time with her.
