Career ending brain injury due to boxing

My name is Stefy Bull I’m the manager to former professional boxer from Hull, Connor Coghill. On 7th October during a professional boxing match which took place at the Sheffield Arena on live tv, Connor sustained a bleed on the brain and was submitted to hospital days after the contest. Thankfully after almost a week he’s been discharged and hopefully over the coming months he’ll make a full recovery. Due to this injury sadly Connor has had to retire from professional boxing and now stuck with no form of income. He’s been told he can’t do anything for the next 6 months which obviously is going to be hard for him. My goal is to try and support him as much as we can, our aim is to raise as much has we can to support Connor with something positive moving forward. Boxing has been his life and all he’s known since being a young boy at only 27yrs young. With his fighting career now taken away I think and believe Connor can still make a life out of doing something he loves (boxing). We have a vision of saucing a gym in his home town big enough to start his own amateur boxing club and supporting him to also gain his professional licences so he can train boxers to become champions just like himself. Connor is well liked and well supported in Hull and I believe he can still achieve things doing something he loves.

ive been involved in professional boxing for over 25yrs and know it’s a very supportive community. I’m reaching out to the boxing world and beyond to get as much help has possible to support Connor with life after his career has sadly been cut short.
