Care for the Cavalcantes

Joe Cavalcante was diagnosed a year ago with Stage 4 Small cell liver and lung cancer.  Since his diagnosis, Joe has fought strong and hard  undergoing chemo, radiation and immunotherapy.  At this week's doctor's appointment, the doctors have advised that he is in complete liver failure and will not be able to survive another treatment.  Hospice is being called in to assist and make him comfortable.  Joe was self-employed as a handyman and has not been able to work since March of 2017.   He has been a loving husband to his wife of 19 years, Debi Cavalcante and a fabulous father to his son Vinny (student at JP Knapp Early College High School).  Debi works at the Moyock Public Library.   I am setting up this GoFundMe for the Cavalcantes to help them through these next couple of months in their  medical expenses, bills in preparation for funeral expenses and to help their family maintain household expense so Debi can spend time with Joe in his final days.  Joe and Debi are the kindest people and always willing to help anybody.  Our sons have been best friends for 10 years.  They are a family I could always call on if I needed anything.  Any donation of any amount will help them!  Thank you and God bless.
