I’d like to start by saying Thank You to everyone who shared our Post about KOA BOY being missing! With everyone’s efforts, KOA BOY was found.

I met KOA when he was just six weeks old. A goofy, sweet pup who had no idea he was about to be my best friend. KOA has been by my side through every chapter of my adult life. He watched it all fall apart and motivated me to put it all back together. He has been a real ride-or-die Dawg. I truly owe my life to him.

As some of you may have seen in our recent post, our KOA Boy went missing for several days in Jerome, ID. While I wasn’t able to make it home, my wife Carolina stepped up and shared KOA’s story across every local page she could find on Facebook. Thanks to the power of Facebook and an incredibly kind woman, KOA was found.

Unfortunately, he had suffered a severe leg injury. The veterinarian explained that an infection from the broken leg had spread into his armpit and became life-threatening. To save his life, they had no choice but to amputate.

KOA is currently being closely monitored and is beginning the journey of learning how to live as a three-legged pup. He’s strong, he’s fighting, and he still has so much life left to live. The Veterinarian still is unsure how his leg was shattered or how Koa managed to withstand the pain for those days.

We’re asking for help… whether that’s sharing this post, keeping KOA in your thoughts, or helping us with his medical and recovery expenses. In order to give him the full attention and care he deserves during his recovery.
