Care For Craven- Healthy Home Kits

Help underserved populations in Craven County, NC get the materials they need to protect themselves!

The COVID19 pandemic has been devastating with over 100,000 deaths in the U.S. being reported already. Both locally and nationwide, underserved and disadvantaged populations are most at risk for being adversely affected by the virus.

Many of these individuals live and work in close quarters with other people and are unable to socially distance. I am working to create "Healthy Home Kits" to distribute to these individuals and provide them with supplies to help protect themselves and their families.

As a nurse, I know that all the education in the world does not matter if people do not have access to the supplies they need. While there are many programs to help with cost of medications, I am not aware of any for preventive supplies. Many of these supplies have grown very difficult to find and prices are higher than ever for them. Imagine if you were living with very limited funds and no vehicle to allow you to drive around town looking for supplies. Despite how much people may want to use these supplies, it is often just not possible for them to obtain them due to inaccessibility or limited income. Please help me by donating to create kits that will enhance this population's ability to combat the virus.  100% of all proceeds goes to the creation of kits and distribution to needy families.

Bags for Distribution ($1)

6/9/2020 NC faced its highest one day increase in cases thus far over the weekend. Today, I am off delivering Health Home Kits to the Craven County Health Department so that they can distribute to individuals in need of these items. Craven County NC COVID-19 case counts below. Sadly, it does not seem that this virus is afraid of the warm weather as some predicted. Case counts continue to climb despite the near 90 degree heat in eastern NC.  Hopefully, by getting supplies out to those in marginalized communities we can slow the spread! #ENCStrong #WashWearWait
