Care For Cale & Allison — Hurricane Relief Fund

Donation protected

To my resilient & loving community,

On behalf of North Vermilion High School’s Class of 2009, we are asking you to open your generous hearts to support two of the most unselfish and caring people we know, Cale LeMaire and his wife Allison.

Hurricane Laura, along with many others, turned their lives upside down. Cale has resided in his rental home since he attended college and Allison soon joined where they made years of memories and valuables. Although he has renter’s insurance, we know from experience that FEMA funding goes to the landlord first and it is up to the owner of the house what to do with those funds.

Currently, on top of the overwhelming battle between shock and support, Cale & Allison will be couch surfing for the next few months while traveling back and forth from Abbeville, Sulphur, and Lake Charles. I spoke to Cale in which he stated that they salvaged what they could and it was only a flat bed trailers worth. Take a look around your house right now, that’s all gone for them and they need our generosity. I know for a fact both Cale & Allison would be doing this for us if we were faced with any kind of life’s challenges.

I know times are rough for everyone right now due to Hurricane & COVID uncertainty, not to mention the constant feeling of anxiety of 2020, but any donation of any kind will be appreciated.  All monetary donations will be used to fund a storage unit for 6-12 months, for gas to travel back and forth, food, potential short term rental, and many other everyday needs. Trust me, you forget how much of a necessity a recliner can be after constant mental and physical exhaustion. Or your favorite bed, music, pictures, etc. They deserve stability and comfortability the most right now.

Once a storage unit can be funded, material donations will be transported there by us. We will designate a location to drop off anything you can think of that goes into a house to make it warm and cozy. They are more than deserving, not to mention after all of those killer El Camino’s Margaritas Cale slid to us on the side.

Let’s show them how much they mean to our community. Let’s be able to hand them a set of keys to a storage unit that is filled with love and generosity. Anything helps and will make a difference in their lives!

Revisit this page for updates on what and where to donate if that is the giving that you are able to do.

Tons of gratitude, prayers to you all, especially Cale and Allison, and lastly, love for my community.
