Care Costs for Callie

The day before Thanksgiving, our beloved Erin/Soteria's sweet pupper Callie managed to slip sideways and hurt her back leg. On T-Day, after a visit to the emergency vet hospital, we learned that she tore her CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) and will require surgery, pre-surgery visits, follow-up visits, and possibly rehab therapy, in addition to weeks of recovery and fairly constant care and attention, most of which Erin will be undertaking on her own. 

Erin will be meeting with surgeons soon to determine when the surgery needs to happen so that she doesn't injure it further or hurt the rest of her trying to work around  it. Erin's mother has offered to help pay for the surgery, to be paid back (which is AWESOME), but the full cost is anticipated to be at least $3,000 just for that. 

I'd like to keep this secret from Erin & Robbie for the moment and see what we can do for them. As so many of us all too well understand the stress of emergency and perpetual care for a sick/injured baby, my hope is that we can raise enough defray at least some of the cost and take some of that stress off Erin and her family's shoulders. Even if it's just a little bit.
