Carder Needs an Accessible Van
Donation protected
Meet Carder!
Carder is a fun-loving, five-year old little boy with spastic cerebral palsy. He is unable to walk, crawl, or sit-up unsupported, but still finds a way to get what he wants and make a mess in the living room. He can say a handful of words and nonverbally communicates a whole lot more.
His favorite activites include playing with his blocks, watching The Big Bang Theory, and trying to get whatever you have in your hand. Seriously, that probably belongs to him. “Mine” is one of the few words he can successfully say. He also enjoys getting mail – credit card companies in particular seem to send “him” something almost every day.
Carder will be starting Kindergarten this fall and we’ve run into a big problem – his pediatric wheelchair doesn’t really fit into our mid-size sedans. Funds donated to this campaign will go towards purchase of an accessible van to get Carder back and forth from school, therapy, and the mall (he likes to window shop).
Although $35,000 would cover the full cost of an accessible vehicle, any amount donated would be a huge help to build our down payment and decrease the size of a loan.
Thank you for reading! We appreciate you!
