Car repair/ Care for knee surgery assistance

My name is April . After a lengthy thinkers, I've decided to put my pride aside, and ask for help during this time.   When it rains it pours. First, thank you for taking the time to read. It is very humbling. Last week, our only vehicle started acting funny, and yesterday, she finally gave out. Today, we learned that it was going to cost  roughly $1100-1500 to fix. The timing chain. I know nothing about cars, but I do know, our car isn't even valued KBB that high.  To add to injury, my husband has to have knee surgery next week, and will be out for 2-4 weeks.  I hate to admit, but my business is slow right now, and we can't do this on our own. We need help.  Not having a car, is just not an option.  We don't have a round the clock transit or cabs in this area.  So I am  reaching out. Anything will help and be appreciated. Thank you!!!
