Jamie's Funeral Expenses

Santa is lost to most by age six, but I lost him on September 14, 2017 when he suddenly and tragically passed away. When children saw my dad, they gazed awestruck as he held his finger to his lips asking them to keep his secret. My dad was a goofy, kilt-wearing, rifle-toting, pie-making, boat-building, jack-of-all-trades. When he was diagnosed with highly treatable esophageal cancer, we all thought nothing could take that magic from our lives. Even though the hospital doesn't know why he died so unexpectedly, they refused our request for an autopsy. They told us that we were misguided in believing it would bring my family closure, so we could pay $5,000 for a private autopsy or move on. With thousands of dollars of hospital bills we simply can't afford a private autopsy, let alone the funeral costs. It is with great humility that we're asking for financial help from the community so we can do justice to my father's memory. All funds will go directly to his immediate family to help cover the expenses associated with his death.
