The idea for Capital Tuk-Tuk sparked over three years ago. We recognized the rapid growth Sacramento was experiencing and saw a need for a way to feature all the best things about this beautiful city. The next question we had: How?
How could we allow tourists and locals to experience this city in the best way possible? We researched the current options available, considered the limitations of these options, and what we can bring to improve upon other business models.
WHAT THE TUK?
It didn't take long for our founder to remember the wonderful memories of growing up in Sri Lanka with these fun vehicles called "Tuk-Tuks". Commonly found in Asia, these three-wheeled Tuk-Tuks are a preferred method of transportation. With further research, we were able to find a Tuk that was manufactured to follow US vehicle regulations.
THE PLAN
Then began the journey of planning our business model to best suit the needs of Sacramento. After visiting several cities, and collaborating with other Tuk-Tuk companies around the country, we were able develop the best plan of action for the city. We are so excited to bring you exclusive tours of Sacramento in a way you've never experienced the city before. All of the special features of the vehicle allow for a premium experience. Our limo style seats allows an intimate group up to six people to enjoy an evening out. Our heated seats and rain covers make sure that we can tour through all the seasons. Zipping along at 25mph, we will make sure not to slow down traffic in the downtown area of Sacramento! Did we mention that the Tuks are fully electric?
