Canyon Canine Rescue Starter Fund

Canyon Canine Rescue of Northern Arizona was formed with the goal of helping save adoptable dogs from local Open-Intake shelters that would otherwise be euthanized due to space issues.  

The overpopulation of stray dogs on the Rez is a well documented issue in this area.  Through our efforts we hope to reduce the overpopulation through spay/neuter programs, humane education, and our adoption program.  The dogs would be hand picked by a certified trainer, and placed into foster homes, then into permanent homes, reducing the rate of euthanasia here in Northern Arizona.  Our organization will be "shelterless" relying on a network of foster homes, thereby reducing overhead costs and making it more cost effective to run.   We will rely heavily on social media and internet pet homing organizations such as PetFinder.com to adopt out the dogs in our care.  

In order to make this dream of saving the lives of these dogs a reality, we need help getting started.  We are currently raising money to apply for our 501(c)3 non-profit through Legal Zoom, which will expedite the process.  Your donation will also go to helping us acquire our domain and website server, and everything we will need for marketing.  With the loss of Second Chance Center for Animals, which placed over 200 animals in homes from January 2017 to the end of April 2017, the sooner we can get started the more lives we can save.  We need our 501(c)3 status before we can begin putting feet on the ground to make a difference for these dogs.
