Foster children often come into care with little to no belongings, and rarely with books of their own. The Cann Family would like to raise $2,000 to provide new, quality books for the Foster Closet Corporation, LLC and Family Support Services of Northeast Florida. Your donation will help increase book ownership and literacy amongst Duval County's children in foster care.
Usborne Books and More will match 50% of all funds donated over $250, so your donation will go even further! Meeting our goal of $2,000 in donations will provide $3,000 worth of books to foster children in Duval County.

Foster Closet Corporation, LLC is a non-profit that is a free resource for Northeast Florida's foster parents and relative, non-relative placements and Independent Living Teens to access clothing, children's accessories, toys and children's furniture and more, to help take care of the foster children entrusted to them. Foster Closet offers a simple, no-nonsense approach that provides immediate assistance without complicated procedures. Through the generous contributions of our community, Foster Closet’s inventory is abundant and we rely on a vast network of volunteers and donors to access additional donations at a moment’s notice.

When a child or family in our community experiences crisis, Family Support Services of Northeast Florida provides services, resources, education and support, with care, empathy and understanding. As the lead child welfare agency in Duval and Nassau counties, and in partnership with community-based organizations, they improve the circumstances and outcomes for families, provide safe homes for abused and/or neglected children and teens through foster care, and find forever families for children through adoption.
