The Garza San Roman family is going through very difficult times. Both Candelario and Esmeralda, along with their entire family were infected with COVID on June 6th. Their condition only worsened and they were all hospitalized on June 8th. Candelario's condition seemed more severe so Esmeralda, being the dedicated and loving wife that she was would spend the day praying and updating the family of her husbands' status. She would continuously ask for prayers and sentiments, but by June 16 both Candelario and Esmeralda were intubated. Only two days later the family lost Esmeralda. A loving mother, a dedicated wife, and a soul that will never be forgotten. The family hoped and prayed that Candelario would recover, but after one month of fighting for his life he sadly passed on July 8. Their daughter Alejandra Garza is at an unimaginable loss, she has to bury both of her parents.
We cannot know for certain how long we have here. We cannot foresee the trials or misfortunes that will test us along the way. We cannot know what God’s plan is for us. What we can do is to live out our lives as best we can with purpose, and with love, and with joy. We can use each day to show those who are closest to us how much we care about them, and treat others with the kindness and respect that we wish for ourselves.
