In 2010 I was diagnosed with a rare type of cancer called carcinoid tumors. I have since had a liver transplant and five other surgeries including hysterectomy, appendectomy, partial pancreas and removal of several spots of my stomach. I began chemotherapy last year. After a recent scan I believe in October it showed about 10 spots of the ugly "c" word on my liver, a spot on the little bit of pancreas I have left and two lymp nodes behind my stomach.
