Cancer’s No Fun. Let’s Help Someone

Sometimes, life’s not fair. And it seems that the really bad stuff happens to the best of people. People like my best friend Nelly.

Recently, Nelly was diagnosed with colon cancer. At 36, my friend has cancer and has to go through an emergency surgery to remove three and a half feet of colon, followed by a long regiment of Chemotherapy. That is life altering. Now she needs our help. So I’m asking for help to make a huge difference in someone’s life. 

Nelly has gone through, and survived the surgery. The doctors removed most of her colon and she is now getting ready to undergo Chemotherapy. For all those who have been through it or known someone that has, they know how terrible it is. Nelly was just starting to get back on her feet after a couple of difficult years: she just helped her mom go through her own battle with cancer and watched her Nana die from it in December.

On top of all this stress, Nelly is self employed and doesn’t have enough money to support herself during this difficult time or to get the things she will need to heal, such as wigs, head wraps, etc. That’s why I’m asking for your help.

We have all been touched by Nelly at some point in our lives. Whether as a friend, co-worker, or musician. I’m sure, like me, she was there for you when you needed help. That’s just the kind of person she is. She cares about people and is more than happy to help. Those that know her know that she has a heart of gold and deserves all the help she can get.
