Help Bailey Beat Cancer!

Donation protected
Hi! Hi! Hi! My name’s Bailey. I’m a seven year old Golden Retriever and I love everything. Well, everything except squirrels. They are my nemeses because I want to play with them but they run too fast and hide in trees.

Anyway, my mom recently found a bump in my leg. It appeared out of nowhere. One week: no bump. Next week: bump. She quickly took me to my vet and a few days later the vet called my mom and I couldn’t hear what the vet was saying, but my mom was crying and petting me a lot. My mom cried a lot that weekend.

But then! I got to go meet a new vet and he was very nice and let me take a nap in his office. When I woke up from me nap, the bump was gone! Mom took me home and we snuggled a lot. I’ve been back to see the new vet a few times so he can look at my leg. I can never see what they’re looking at because Mom makes me wear a cone. It’s okay, though, because Mom laughs when she sees me in the cone and I like to see her smile. We don’t call it the “cone of shame” anymore. It’s the “cone of success” or I’m a “lampshade” because I brighten up the room.

Today, I got to meet another vet!! He is very nice and so is his team. Mom says I’ll have to go see him every day for three weeks and then I should be all better.

Mom doesn’t cry as much anymore but I can tell she’s still worried, especially when we are getting ready to leave and the nice people at the vet take mom’s little piece of plastic. Then they give it back to her with a pieces of paper. Mom must be important because they always ask her to autograph a piece of paper so they can keep it, and then we take the rest of the papers to the car. When we get in the car, Mom always looks at the papers again. I can tell she’s worried about something, but then she always looks at me and sighs, “Bailey, you’re worth it.” Then she gives me a big hug and we drive home.

I made this campaign to help my mom because I snuck a look at those papers and there’s a lot of big numbers:
- Vet Visit #1: $249.22
- Vet Visit #2: $1086.00
- Vet Visit #3: $1664.00
- Vet Visit #4: $40.00
- Vet Visit #5: $0 (stitches out)
- Vet Visit #6: $427.46
- Radiation Estimate: $5617.06
- Current Total Cost: $9083.74

I love my mom. I’m so lucky to have her. But I feel like I’m being a bad girl because I’m being so expensive. I do have health insurance, but it will only cover about 1/3 of the cost.

Will you please help me beat this cancer and be a good girl for my mom?
