So this is our boy, Prince.
Towards the end of September this year, he became unsteady on his feet. We took him to our Vet who thought it might be an inner ear issue. After a couple of weeks his symptoms became a little worse, as he was now struggling to swallow and had an incredibly scary choking incident.
He was referred to a Vet who specialised in Neuro conditions and it was recommend that he should have an MRI scan.
We recieved the devastating news that he has a brain tumour which is inoperable due to its location. We have been advised that Radiotherapy is the best way forward as it is very affective against brain tumours and can give our boy another 18-24 months.
This is the reason for reaching out for help!
We have been quoted $13000 for this treatment. We have already spent just under $5000 and we don't have much left in our savings, but we are willing to spend what we need to to save him. We are trying to sell some of our belongings to help fund his treatment as he really means the world to the two of us. His pet insurance cover will only contribute $2000 towards treatment, but as always they take a long time to get back to us and we are still waiting to here from them.
I am not one to ask for help but we are desperate and I just hope and pray that you can find it in your heart to help the most amazing little Jack Russel, who usually has a real zest for life and a dog that EVERYONE falls in love with, once they have met him.
