Cancer treatment for Lacey

Donation protected

Our friend Mark is going through a challenging time with his adorable Shelties. Lacey, the younger of the two was diagnosed with mouth cancer a few months ago, and while Mark was figuring out what do to for her, the older Sheltie, Bella, passed away from an acute pancreatitis attack.

He is devastated as these are his “girls”, his companions in life! He certainly doesn’t want to lose them both so close together if that can be helped.  Vet bills have mounted and Lacey is still in need of treatment for up to 6 more weeks.  There is a chance she can be cured as this cancer does not leave the mouth.

The only thing standing in the way is cost.  Unfortunately, if the tumor continues to grow it will impede her ability to breathe and/or eat and she will need to be put down, even though she would be an otherwise perfectly healthy dog.

Anyone who knows Mark, knows that he gives all he has to his friends, his community, his job, and his “girls”.   As friends of Mark’s  we will be so grateful for any and all financial assistance as he has tapped out all other resources.

The treatment for Lacey is $800 a week for up to 6 more weeks.  We will post updates and pictures to let everyone who donates know how treatment is going.

Thank you so much for your consideration!
