Cancer Treatment for Gloria Machado

Gloria Nelly Machado una gran madre para mí, quien ha dado todo no solamente por su hijo sino por su esposo. Ha sido un ejemplo como una increíble mama, esposa, hija, hermana y amiga.  Siempre nos ha dado su amor sincero, nos contagia con su felicidad día a día, es paciente y comprensiva. A través de su vida ella ha sido un ejemplo de entereza y valentía; desde los 15 años de edad cuando fue diagnosticada con Lupus Sistémico Eritematoso y a los 19 años con un trasplante renal, logrando sobrevivir con la ayuda de Dios y nuestros seres queridos. En 2015 fue diagnosticada de Cáncer Cervicouterino, sometiéndose a cirugía, quimioterapia y terapia de radiación, logrando llevar la enfermedad a estado de remisión. Después de varios meses, en marzo de 2017 fue diagnosticada con la recurrencia metastásica del cáncer. Debido a su situación médica previa (trasplante renal y lupus) ella necesita realizar el tratamiento oncológico en los Estados Unidos, para mejorar su calidad de vida. Sin embargo este es bastante oneroso, por lo que necesitamos de su apoyo para poder llevarlo a cabo y darle la oportunidad de continuar llenando nuestras vidas de alegría, dulzura, calor y amor. Ella mantiene su fe firme y conserva la dulzura que le caracteriza mientras lucha contra su enfermedad, a la espera del milagro que le mantenga al lado de nuestra familia y amistades.

Hello my name is Fernando Bonilla and my mother, Gloria Nelly Machado, has given everything not only for me but also for my father. Throughout our life in Honduras she has been an incredible mother, wife, daughter, sister and friend. She has always given us her true love, infects us with her happiness every day, and is patient and understanding. Through her life she has been an example of strength and courage; since she was 15 years old, when she was diagnosed with Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) and at age 19 when she went through a kidney transplant, surviving with the help of God and her loved ones. In 2015 she was diagnosed with Cervical Cancer, undergoing surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy, and managed to drive cancer to a remission state. In March of 2017 she was diagnosed with recurrent metastatic cervical cancer. Due to her previous medical conditions (SLE and Renal transplant), she needs to undergo the oncological treatment in the United States, in order to improve her quality of life. However, this treatment is quite expensive. For this reason, we need your support to obtain the necessary medical treatments. These include but are not limited to:
-Surgical procedures
-Doctors consultations
-Chemotherapy Treatment
-Medication costs
-Labs and imaging

These procedures will give her the opportunity to continue filling our lives with happiness, sweetness, warmth and love. She keeps her faith sound and maintains her inner strength while she fights her cancer - waiting for the miracle that will keep her next to her family and friends back in Honduras.
We are staying with my aunt, Paula Gorra in beautiful Glenwood Springs, Colorado during this treatment and she will be coordinating this fundraiser for us.
