Cancer treatment for Craig
Craig has been one of my best friends for over 10 years now. Craig also lives with Cystic Fibrosis, you would think that that would be enough to deal with and that this fundraiser would be for that, but no, here we are battling Cystic Fibrosis and Cancer.
Craig has been diagnosed with Mandibular Cancer, a rare form that has grown in his Mandibular Bone. Treatment for this form of cancer is extensive to say the least. Mass removal, reconstructive surgery, losing a piece of his jaw/teeth/fibula/muscle to name a few. Craig will also have to be out of work for a minimum of 6 months.
Surgery and recovery begins September 10th with a 12+ hour surgery. He will have to have part of his fibula removed for reconstruction on the bone loss. Recovery will begin with weeks of feeding tubes and progress to slowly being able to use his mouth again. Next up after that is recovery for walking, since he is losing a bone. Then still more to come.
If anyone knows Craig you know how much his job means to him and to be out of work for this long is hard including financially as well. Please take a moment to share our campaign if you are unable to donate, it would be much appreciated.
Thank you again for any help received.
