Cancer Support for Tonya Parra

Mid January my mama went into a doctors appointment expecting neurology results explaining why she was having pain and numbness in her left leg, we were blindsided from the fact that from that appointment the doctors stated they found not only several tumors but they also found lacerations within her spine and bones throughout her body that depicted bone mestasis. (Meaning stage four cancer). This begins to deteriorate the bones and make them very weak. In result of this she has had to leave her job (that she was extremely passionate about) and is basically put on bed rest because of the pain. Walking is a chore and even certain slight movements have become agonizing. Oncologists have been searching for months for feedback as to where the cancer initially stemmed from and still have not come up with a definitive answer. It has only been recently this week (Beginning of March) that doctors have been able to manage her excruciating pain, and she has been in the hospital for close to a week now. No treatment has been started to slow down the growth of the cancer, due to the fact that doctors say the cannot start treatment until they pinpoint exactly where it has come from. Her medical bills are beginning to rack up, and her insurance is denying procedures along the way. This entire process has been very frustrating, emotionally trying, and scary to say the least. She is a mother of two (me and my 7 year old brother), and she is a very strong woman. The strongest woman i know. And I know that she will battle this with everything she has. This situation has happened so quickly, it almost feels unreal. Anything, and I do mean anything will truly help our situation. God Bless!
