Cancer Support for Mama Gwen

My name is Ismatu Gwendolyn and my namesake, mother, and inspiration (Miss Gwen) has been diagnosed with multiple myeloma. We are so fortunate to have much of the care be covered under her insurance, however we have now lost the sole income supporting our matriarch’s household. My mother cares for many, including her mother (my grandmother), and this diagnosis will likely push her into early retirement: she has several fractures in her spine that she needs recovery from before we can even begin chemotherapy and regular radiation. I ask for your support in raising six months of personal expenses while I prepare to assume the household bills. We already had some support for the month of April (thank you instagram!!), so this is to cover us through the rest of the year.

Please, if you feel compelled to give any amount you are comfortable with (including and especially prayers! We are the praying type!) my family and I would melt with gratitude. We have so much to be thankful for already.
