Cancer Kids First

We are fundraising for Cancer Kids First, an international 501(c)(3) non-profit organization started by highschooler Olivia Zhang. CKF aims to help pediatric cancer patients experience a better childhood by supplying patients with toy and book donations, cards, coloring pages, care packages, and more. We are also working towards helping patients internationally access treatment and care, while funding research for new cures. In the past 2 years, Cancer Kids First has already donated 20,000 supplies and 35,000 cards to individual patients and our 55 partner hospitals alike.

Cancer, being the leading cause of death worldwide, doesn't have mercy, and it certainly doesn’t discriminate. Cancer affects lives across the globe, no matter race, gender, or age.

Battling cancer is a long, arduous process. In addition to the physical pain, pediatric cancer patients, some as young as 2 years old, experience adverse psychological effects including anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Cancer often consumes the lives of kids, stripping them of their childhood, while impacting their loved ones in the process. Despite this, the National Cancer Institute allocates only 4% of the government’s total cancer funding to childhood cancer research. This number is by no means enough for the 15,780 children diagnosed with cancer each year in the US. What’s more, every 2 minutes worldwide, a family hears the earth-shattering words, “Your child has cancer”.

All funds raised will go towards our 5 programs to help thousands of kids worldwide—especially with hospitals in India. Any donation would make a huge impact! Thank you for your generosity in joining us to put kids with cancer first.
