Cancer Crusade 4 Michelle Brown!

A little over a week ago, our beautiful, funny, and fabulous friend Michelle Brown and her husband JL  were given a medical diagnosis that changed their life: Michelle has Stage 3 Breast Cancer.  

Michelle reached out to friends and family to let them know that she intends to conquer this 'bump in the road' - we've included her message below. However, as many of us know, a cancer diagnosis turns your world upside down. For Michelle, the costs associated with medications, travel to and from the Cancer Treatment Centre in Toronto, and missed wages will really add up over the next few months. 

We're asking for your help to support Michelle as she begins her journey into chemotherapy and recovery.  All money raised will go directly to her medical expenses and will provide much needed support to Michelle and JL so they can focus on each other, and the emotional and physical battle that lies ahead of them.

Michelle's Message - May 10, 2019

Family and Friends I am reaching out to ask for your healing and positive vibes over the coming weeks and months. Earlier this week I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer.

I believe in the power of community and most of you know that I am not one to hold anything back so having positivity and healing coming my way definitely can’t hurt as I start this trek through the world of cancer treatment.

I’m not sharing this for sympathy or pity. I am going to kick cancer’s ass and the next few months will just be a bump in a long road. I am definitely going to beat this with the help of the amazing team at Princess Margaret.

I am sharing to remind everyone that your life can change in a heartbeat and that we need to cherish absolutely every second and to be sure to pay attention to what is going on with your body. Check your boobs and know when something changes!!

I am working really hard to stay positive and focus on my end goal but I know with the family and friends I have if I’m having a bad day your good vibes will help me in those days. Thanks for helping JL and I get through this challenge.
