Canal Place Mural by Eli Saifan
Eli Saifan is a gifted, passionate artist. Eli found his new home of Little Falls, NY in2017. His journey which began in Lebanon took him to Los Angeles, Brooklyn
with short stints in Cuba, India and Spain.
He has a unique and distinct style, blending Impressionism with his own geometric interpretations. From his Art Door studio in historic Canal Place in Little Falls, a stones throw from the Mohawk River and the Erie Canal, Eli creates, sells and builds community.
Covid has greatly slowed the passage of tourists to the area who stroll to the Erie Canal Historic Walkway and happen open Eli’s engaging presence and the studio.
To support Eli’s important presence as a catalyst of the art community in the Mohawk Valley, we developed the idea of a 30 x 20 foot mural on the brick side of the Canal Place historic district, creating a magnificent welcome to visitors!
This work of art will compliment the community art sculpture across the street in Sterziner Park.
This will clearly be a cherished community asset for decades.
This endeavor will take approximately 30 days of Eli’s time and significant costs inmaterials and hydraulic lifts.
The entire Canal Place, Little Falls and Mohawk Valley region thank you for your interest and support.
