Canadian Death Race for CMHA, Ont

On July 31-Aug 1 I will be running the Canadian Death Race in support of mental health. During these times mental health supports have become more important than ever. Please donate if you are able to.

My journey to the Death Race, a 125km ultramarathon up 17,000ft of elevation gain across 3 mountains, began with a pamphlet I picked up 13 years ago at a running store. This seemed so over the top ridiculous to me. At the time I was 300lbs and I said to my wife and our best friends “I’m going to run this one day.”

One day is July 31, 2021. It took a while to get here but it was through the suicide of a close friend that I realized I have to get better so that I can be here for my family for as long as possible, and with the best quality of life possible. Having lost 100lbs and trained to get here, I am ready. We’re making this happen, and I want this to benefit as many people as possible.
