Canada Day Run and Walk for Reconciliation

Amanda created the Walk/Run for Reconciliation to show solidarity, awareness, and action so that we can all take steps towards being better Canadians.

The event takes place on July 1 at Lions Park in St. Albert, 9 am start

St. Albert had 2 residential schools: Youville (1873 - 1948) and Poundmaker (1924 - 1968). Information about them can be found on the City of St. Albert website, as well as the National Centre for Truth and Reconciliation website (nctr.ca).

We honour all of those affected by residential schools - our walk is in memory of those left this world due to the schools influence and is also a tribute to the strength and bravery of all survivors who are able to share their stories.

Run. Remembrance. Reconciliation. #RunRemRec

May all those in our nation never forget what happened and learn to do better for those who come after us.
