We are grade 11 students from Semiahmoo Secondary who, as part of our social justice class, we're required to create an action plan that focuses on a cause or social justice issue that is important to us. We are passionate about animals, specifically the rescue initiatives of a non-profit organization that rescues huskies from high kill shelters in California, called Danielle's Husky's to the Rescue. We are passionate about promoting rescue organizations and working with them to change animal cruelty initiatives.
At Danielle’s Husky’s to the Rescue, the owner donates her personal time and money to support these animals in need, all the while working a full-time job. We are asking for any donations that can help us support this rescue. The donations will be used to help support all aspects of the rescue organization, including: Dog food, toys, gift cards, treats, beds, blankets, collars and much more. Any donations will be appreciated and will aide in the continued rescue of dogs from high kill shelters in California. To date this organization has aided in the transport to Canada and rescue of 192 (and counting) huskies. The founder of this organization is also a pioneer for change in animal cruelty laws and teaching and mentoring people on how to be better dog owners.
A personal connection is that one of our teachers at our high school has an adopted husky from this organization. She talks non-stop about how incredible this organization is and the impact that this rescued dog has had on her life. Please help us and donate anything you can, every dollar counts.
