Campaign for Nalah the Dog!

My best friend Nalah was recently diagnosed with an extremely aggressive auto immune disease called IMHA, or Immune-Mediated Hemolytic Anemia. For anyone who is unfortunate enough to know these four letters, I am really, really sorry. However, you also know that this disease can be fatal if not dealt with aggressively. Nalah's Immune system is attacking her red blood cells by mistaking them as foreign bodies. Nalah will need to continue to stay in the critical care unit while receiving blood transfusions and heavy doses of steroids and antibiotics. The hope is that we can get her red blood cells
up to normal levels and stabilize her enough so she can atleast come
home. I truly would not be asking for donations if this was not an extremely costly disease to fight. I also would not be asking if I was not so sure of my girl and how strong she is. She has the will to fight this and I know with enough transfusions and steroids she will be okay. She is also healthy other wise, and is only 6 years old. I also want to raise awareness of this disease, as it is more common than one may think- and has absolutely zero indicators. Nalah was running around with her ball on Saturday, and could not even move a muscle by Sunday. I understand if you can't help, but even five dollars would be something towards her fight. It's already cost over 3,000 in two days and I know it's going to only get worse. My worst fear is that I will have to stop her treatment due to money- and her love is worth much more than money to me. If you are a pet owener please bring your best friends to the vet for regular checkups, always check their gum color and eye color. Thank you for hearing Nalahs story.
