Luton United FC Community Club needs your support
Dear Community
We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully negotiated with Luton Borough Council in acquiring the lease of the clubhouse/changing rooms at Blundell Park.
This will allow the club sole use of facilities at Blundell Park for all our teams and ultimately create a community hub for all our members.
We have recently been informed by the Council that to secure the lease and complete the process we must contribute £2000 towards the legal costs, maintenance, utility bills and insurance.
Council legal fees - £900
Surveyor fee - £500
Maintenance - £200
Utility bills (estimated) - £200
Insurance - £200
We must now give an undertaking in the next couple of weeks to pay this sum, otherwise, we may risk losing the facility, which the club has been using for over 20 years.
It is to this end that we respectfully request everyone to kindly contribute or pledge any figure they deem fit towards the costs that we are required to pay. Any figure, big or small will help our club to strive forward and provide better facilities for your children, your families and the community.
We thank you in advance and look forward to your support.
Together We Achieve More
As most will know, LUFC is a charitable organisation providing football to the local community. Your contributions will provide a further platform to the 6 to 16-year-olds that are part of our small but progressive club.
The work of the football club is under pined by the following values:
> Promote community health and well-being amongst all age groups through participation in sports, education, leisure and exercise
> Helping others to become involved and empowered by listening to and understanding what local people want
> Engaging young people in team approaches and in devising positive futures for themselves whilst diverting them from anti-social behaviour and providing positive pro-social modelling
> Providing full mutual support and seeking community participation and involvement.
