Our First Camp Fundraising Goals Have Been MET!!!
Between ALL of our generous online donations, donations and involvement in a last minute silent auction, and the local Summit Mason's met our donations IN KIND at $3,000!
WE ALSO HAVE OUR OFFICIAL NON-PROFIT STATUS APPROVED!
Camp forget-me-not is a therapeutic adventure for children to help families heal and cope with the death of a family member.
Our therapeutic team has created activities to expedite campers social connections with one another, which creates a uniquely understanding tight knit community.
The entire staff is volunteers! Everything donated to Camp forget-me-not GOES TO THE KIDS! The connections and support encourages the process necessary to cope with death and dying. We want to serve our children that have been faced with the life altering challenge of surviving a family members death.
This fall camp will have a sunset dedication hike, candle making and lighting ceremony, along with swimming, hiking, fishing, dream-catcher-making and so much more! Every activity with the campers is intentional, and will be surprisingly fun and therapeutic! Camp forget-me-not is a place where the children are encouraged to flourish and grow, while processing and learning tools that encourage appropriate coping with emotional distress.
