Cami’s Cavalry

This is Cami, the most precious, spunky, joyful, sweet, 7 year old (turning 8, April 30th) you’ll ever meet! Over the past month, her parents and teachers noticed something was going on with her left hand and arm. They asked their pediatrician about it and he referred them to a neurologist. Last week after undergoing a MRI, several tests & biopsy, she was diagnosed with 2, inoperable, aggressive, cancerous brain tumors. This diagnosis has been a complete shock & devastating news to all that know Cami. Above all, we ask for your prayers and we know that healing and a miracle from God is what’s needed. We pray for wisdom for her medical team. We pray for strength for her parents, grandparents & family as they will be facing many unknowns and emotional days ahead. We pray for Cami to have endurance and persevere that beautiful joy that she brightens a room with! We are claiming all of these things!

Cami will start radiation treatments March 20th at Emory Winship in conjunction with CHOA & they will be staying nearby during her treatment. Her mom, Courtney, teaches 5th grade Math & Science at Gatewood in Eatonton, GA & her father, Chris is an assistant basketball coach at Georgia College in Milledgeville. Courtney will be taking an extended leave of absence from work as she plans on being by Cami’s side every step of the way in the fight for her life. Chris will have to continue to work as much as possible and will be taking care of CJ, their 3 year old son & tending to the daily needs at home.

Finding out something like this for a family and child we so dearly love leaves us feeling helpless. Our hopes in this Go Fund Me campaign is that we can raise money to help ease their minds on the one thing that we can control; finances. The funds that are raised will go towards the travel expenses that they will incur going to, and from Atlanta for treatments, and to help fill in other financial gaps that are sure to come.

We are Cami’s Cavalry, we will be standing behind her & the family, helping them fight along the way! Even though we all feel helpless, we can support the Jackson’s with our prayers & finances.
