Calvin Boe Medical Expenses Fund

Donation protected

Calvin Philip Boe

Sweet Calvin was born with a rare form of congenital heart disease where the lower chambers of the heart (ventricles) are switched.  His parents, Meghan and Blake, found out about Calvin's heart halfway through Meghan's pregnancy.   Calvin surprised his parents by arriving on June 28, 2020, 8 weeks before his due date!  After spending almost 4 weeks in the NICU and Special Care Nursery at Children's Hospital, Calvin got to go home on July 21, 2020.

On October 26, 2020, after an appointment with his cardiologist, Calvin was admitted to Children's again.  The doctors were concerned about how his heart appeared - the right side appearing larger and rounder than they would like it to be, given his condition.    His care team continues to explore the best option for Calvin - either a "Double Switch" operation, which needs multiple surgeries prior, or a heart transplant.

Calvin is a giggly, chill, happy baby who loves bath time, music,  balloons, and his Hobbes stuffed animal.  He will be facing really difficult medical challenges ahead. Meghan and Blake appreciate your support during this uncertain and scary time.  Donations will go directly to support their family.  Thank you for your generosity.

If you would like to send a check directly to Meghan and Blake, send a message to Catherine Bang and she will give you the mailing address.  Click "Contact" next to her name below.
