5 months ago, your heroic, generous donation to Amy Walker made it possible for her to recover from brain surgery.
We are terribly sorry to tell you, Amy was just hit with a new setback.
The cancer that was remaining in her brain has spread to her eye. She is fighting with every ounce of her brilliant, beautiful spirit to keep her vision and motor skills; and to survive this agonizingly painful hurdle to be there as a mother to her two daughters. She has no intention of letting cancer take her from this life. She is beating the odds and her doctor is hopeful she can do it again. But while getting plenty of help from family and friends, the financial burden is mounting.
Asking again isn’t easy. We know giving again can be difficult too. But we are faced with a tough road ahead and so are making this appeal.
Will you please donate again, like you did before?
It would give Amy a fighting chance to heal from this new setback, care for her children and make a final push to battle back from this debilitating disease.
Please know: your first donation was the difference between food on the table and not. The difference between a bed to sleep in and not. If you can find it in your heart to do what you did once before, it would be a miracle beyond measure.
If we all made the same donation as we did 5 months ago, we could give Amy another 6 months reprieve.
We know this is a lot to ask.
