It's torture to watch a loved one die from this illness. Praying you can take an ounce of pain away from your loved one, but knowing it's impossible, is heart breaking.
Corina is a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her fight with cancer began in 2007 when she was diagnosed with stage four Breast Cancer. After doing chemo and having surgery, and with the grace of God, she was saved and became a breast cancer survivor. In the years after her cancer, she suffered from heart failure and her body had to undergo surgery for a pacemaker to aid her heart. If that wasn't enough for Corina, she had to go through her last battle with Bone cancer that has now spread throughout her body. After two years of fighting both bone and liver cancer, and undergoing more treatment, the doctors finally decided that there is nothing left to do. But even until now, she never stopped fighting her illnesses. Corina's fight hasn't been alone, as her family and friends have come together during these difficult times to be with her and enjoy her during her last days.
Even when you're left without options faith and determination have always been her answer and that's all we need. Unfortunately, the reality of the situation is that Miguel ( Corina's son) and his spouse Faith have been taking care of Corina since the beginning of her home hospice care that started in late October and have thus been out of work. This is a stressful enough situation to be in, and even more when we are running low on finances. Our family is asking anyone who can, to help us out during this difficult time, as we are now preparing to make funeral arrangements and are in need of financial assistance whatever the amount may be, it will be greatly appreciated.
Corina is our loved one fighting. A beautiful soul to say the least. Her battle is almost over and even though our hearts are heavy, she has filled our home with nothing but love. Her smile will be missed, her laugh, the smell of her lotion after a shower or the obsession of her everlasting Eternity perfume and last but not least her fiery little attitude.

Es una tortura ver a un ser querido morir de esta enfermedad. Orar puede quitarle una onza de dolor a su ser querido, pero saber que es imposible es desgarrador.
Corina es una madre cariñosa, abuela, hermana y amiga. Su lucha contra el cáncer comenzó en 2007 cuando le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama en la etapa cuatro. Después de hacer quimioterapia y someterse a una cirugía, y con la gracia de Dios, se salvó y se convirtió en sobreviviente de cáncer de mama. En los años posteriores a su cáncer, sufrió una falla cardíaca y su cuerpo tuvo que someterse a una cirugía para que un marcapasos ayudara a su corazón. Si eso no era suficiente para Corina, tenía que atravesar su última batalla con el cáncer de hueso que ahora se había extendido por todo su cuerpo. Después de dos años de luchar contra el cáncer de huesos y de hígado, y someterse a más tratamiento, los médicos finalmente decidieron que ya no queda nada por hacer. Pero incluso hasta ahora, nunca dejó de luchar contra sus enfermedades. La lucha de Corina no ha sido solo, ya que su familia y amigos se han unido durante estos tiempos difíciles para estar con ella y disfrutarla durante sus últimos días.
Incluso cuando te quedas sin opciones, la fe y la determinación siempre han sido su respuesta y eso es todo lo que necesitamos. Desafortunadamente, la realidad de la situación es que Miguel (el hijo de Corina) y su esposa Faith han estado cuidando a Corina desde el comienzo del cuidado de hospicio en su hogar que comenzó a fines de octubre y por lo tanto han estado sin trabajo. Esta es una situación lo suficientemente estresante como para estarlo, y aún más cuando nos estamos quedando sin finanzas. Nuestra familia está pidiendo ayuda a cualquiera que pueda, para ayudarnos en este momento difícil, ya que ahora nos estamos preparando para hacer arreglos funerarios y necesitamos asistencia financiera cualquiera que sea la cantidad, será muy apreciada.
Corina es nuestro ser querido peleando. Un alma hermosa por decir lo menos. Su batalla casi ha terminado y aunque nuestros corazones son pesados, ella ha llenado nuestro hogar con nada más que amor. Se perderá su sonrisa, su risa, el olor de su loción después de una ducha o la obsesión de su eterno perfume de eternidad y, por último pero no menos importante, su pequeña actitud ardiente.
