Callie’s Healing Journey Fund

I am posting this as my sister, Michelle and Jon’s daughter, Callie was involved in a skiing accident yesterday January 31, 2020 and is currently in the hospital. We are still awaiting further details to the situation however it is clear this will be a journey in which will include a financial burden (parking at the hospital, meals, accommodations, fuel from Portage to Winnipeg, lost wages, possible medical costs that haven’t yet been determined but are possibly not covered, etc).  For the further information to the situation please read below:

Callie went on a youth ski trip yesterday with her youth group Friday. It was a great day overall however on the last run of the day before leaving, Callie ended up coming down the hill too quickly and somehow ended up with what they assume was to have hit a tree (unsure of these exact details at this moment as well). She was assessed at a few different smaller hospitals but once in Brandon they determined she needed to be moved to HSC by STARS helicopter late last night. The CT results showed a break in the orbit of the skull, a broken nose, bleeding at the bottom of one kidney , bleeding in the spleen and a break in the bottom of the spine as well as possible fractures to her wrist .

Callie is responding well verbally when she is awake; she has been able to state her name and knows she’s in the hospital as well as shared an “I love you” with her dad. 

They are asking to be lifted up in your prayers and believing for a quick recovery and the best outcome. It is her extended family that recognizes the burden these situations in life create and for those who would like to help in this manner, I know they would be so very appreciative.
