Calix Priel's ROAD to RECOVERY

 Calix Priel Rabe was born last nov 21 of 2017. Calix was 7 lbs  and was delivered via CS.

Calix brought the whole family so much joy,  Christmas really came early to us when he was born. 

 January 12 - we start hearing intermittent coughs.  That made us worried so we decided to have him checked the next day and he was doing well with the medication that the pediatrician prescribe.  

January 14, the worst thing that can ever happened to a parent is to see their son lethargic and nearly non responsive.  Face is pale, fingers are blue. We are doing CPR on our way to the hospital. Instead of waiting for paramedics we had to drive him to the hospital because we are afraid that he might not make it. 

Calix was diagnosed with Pneumonia, his oxygen won't stabilize that the medical team decided to put him into a ventilator to support his breathing. 

It's been a week since he was place in the intensive care,   and today we we're told that he was infected with PERTUSSIS  (whooping cough) a highly contagious respiratory illness. 

With everything we’ve been going through since the beginning of this process, we have had to start pushing the medical bills aside and simply concentrate on what needs to be done for Calix . But these bills will not go away this not includes prescriptions and doctor visit fees.

This life event is hitting us hard and we are trying to stay strong for him. We truly mean it, every penny helps and anything you are able to contribute is appreciated more than we can ever explain. Our son means the absolute world to us, and we will do whatever it is we have to do to get him the health care he needs, so he can live a full and healthy life.
